02 / Volume Study
Purpose
Define the massing, shape, and overall physical presence of the home. The Volume Study stage focuses on understanding how your project will occupy and interact with its physical environment. By shaping mass, form, and proportion, we establish the architectural character and spatial dynamics of the future structure.
1. 3D Form & Structural Massing Development
Using three-dimensional modeling tools, we translate the approved concept into its first volumetric form. This involves constructing the basic massing of the home — height, width, depth, roof forms, and general structure.
2. Spatial Proportions & Relationship Studies
